Capitals Academy Gymnasium is a new program designed to offer players additional practice time, to develop specific hockey skills taught by our Capitals Academy coaching staff. The coaches will work with players at skill-specific stations to improve skating, stick-handling, shooting, and competition.

USA Hockey Mandatory Registration

All Rooftop Hockey Youth and Adult League participants (including the new Adult Learn-to-Play League) are required to register with USA Hockey.  Your USA Hockey membership provides insurance for injuries during league activities, a subscription to USA Hockey magazine, and the opportunity to participate in USA Hockey sanctioned tournaments at all levels.

Please print and submit a copy of your USA Hockey registration confirmation to KCI.

(Learn-to-Skate and Learn-to-Play particpants do not register with USA Hockey.)

If Hockey is your game, you have come to the right place!  Not only is Kettler Capitals Iceplex the training and practice facility of the NHL's Washington Capitals but Kettler is also the home of the Capitals Academy.  The  Capitals Academy is where future hockey stars learn to play and develop their hockey skills.  Capitals Academy offers year-round clinics for both youth and adults.  Our experienced hockey staff is also available for private lessons.  Once you are ready for organized recreational hockey, Kettler offers a  Youth House league, Adult League and Women's League.
